Shirley N. Harmon, 79, of Prince’s Lakes and a former resident of Indianapolis, went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, Feb. 12, 2015 at Kindred Hospital in Greenwood. She was born on August 1, 1935 in Indianapolis to Melvin and Violet Shepherd. Shirley was proceeded in death by her parents, and her companion, Vic Seipler. Shirley had five children, Debbie (Dale) Catron of Nineveh, David (April) Deffendall of Danville, Diane (Gene) Parsons of Jonesville, VA, Jim Deffendall of Indianapolis, and Gary (Dana) Deffendall of Parker City; 15 grandkids and 7 great grandkids. Shirley loved to spend time with her friends and family. She also loved animals, playing cards, and doing word search books. She retired from Osco Drug Store after 19 years. A Celebration of Life will be from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m., with a memorial service beginning at 6 p.m. on Friday, February 20, 2015 at The Crossing Church, 8728 S. Nineveh Road, Prince’s Lakes, Indiana.
